How do you govern automations and AI agents?

We build governance into every automation from day one: role definitions, approval workflows, exception handling, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints. For agentic AI, we use our BPMN templates to model agent roles, tool calls, guardrails, and escalation paths. Nothing runs in production without documented controls and monitoring.

What is your diagnostic framework?

We measure every process area against three metrics: Digital Work Ratio (DWR) — the percentage of work executed digitally versus manually; Cost to Serve (CTS) — the fully loaded cost per transaction benchmarked against APQC/Hackett peers; and Cycle Time Efficiency (CTE) — value-adding time as a share of elapsed time. The combination of these three scores classifies each process into one of eight diagnostic patterns — from "Protect & Scale" (already performing) through to "Re-engineer" (fundamentally broken).
